Right now, you’ll get a 1-year supply of Vitamin D free with your first subscription purchase—a vital nutrient for a strong immune system and strong bones. Visit DrinkAG1.com/Tim to claim this special offer today and receive your 1-year supply of Vitamin D (and 5 free AG1 travel packs) with your first subscription purchase! That’s up to a one-year supply of Vitamin D as added value when you try their delicious and comprehensive daily, foundational nutrition supplement that supports whole-body health.

Check out Partysmart, the anti-hangover pill. Not sure of the mechanism but they help you feel much closer to normal, even at 5+ drinks.

Also, back pain: this is the second time you’ve mentioned it, but last time you also included your kettlebell swing count. Charles Poliquin spoke on why he thinks the directional force of swings hamper the back.

You might want to check out “Human Garage”, or me -certified Poliquin coach and former bobsleigh athlete with 9 crashes at 120km (+ dirtbike & ski crashes…); I’ve eliminated neck and back pain that plagued me 24/7, have access to a startup AI movement assessment we can do remotely. It discovered the ways my body was compensating for torn neck ligaments causing shoulder impingement & spiral line tightness, now I’ve aligned myself in the centre and my strength is really incredible – no more energy leaks because of faulty biomechanics. You can see a video of the software here:

Just read 5BF for May 5, reminded me of the book I am currently reading. I think you’d enjoy – Existential Kink: Unmask Your Shadow and Embrace Your Power (A method for getting what you want by getting off on what you don’t) [Moderator: Amazon link removed.]

Wish you guys would also tell us when you stop with some of your habits, such as Bulletproof Coffee due to health concerns… I am still drinking this every morning 😱

It’s not just Kevin not telling Tim when he gets out of investments then 😉

As to scarcity, but not luxury, you guy should check out Westvleteren beer, made by Trappist monks.

Yeah, when and why did this happen? I still don’t understand after listening. All of your posts are still positive on it.

Wet shaving with a safety razor is a great way to pamper yourself and has vastly improved the quality of my life. Wet shaving has created a daily ritual for me where there was once only a daily chore and nuisance. This older way is a better way in my experience. Thanks for a great show!

Kevin mentioned chatGPT actually creating PowerPoint presentations, I’m interested in that but can’t seem to find much on it outside of GPT creating outlines for presentations.

Little luxury for those who happen to be in Oslo, Norway: coffee at Tim Wendelboe.

I had a cold brew that was served in a wine glass — slightly chilled, no ice or milk. It was ~$7 but tasted so much better than any other cold brew I’ve ever had.

(I still think about it every single day, especially as I pour excessive amounts of milk into my local coffee shop’s cup :’)

Hi Tim,

I just listened to your recent Random show with Kevin Rose where you discussed your intrigue with high-end immersive audio—a passion I’ve had for years. As an avid fan of your work, I felt compelled to reach out to offer my unique insights in this specialized area. Obviously not because you lack resources or connections! Rather, I thought this could be a way I could say thanks for all you do and the impact you have had on my life.

I run a successful high-end interior design business, and I neither need nor am I seeking your business or endorsement. I’ve had the fortune of owning a recording studio and designing several listening rooms throughout my career. More importantly, my heart has always belonged to music, particularly when it transcends the boundaries of mere sound and becomes an immersive experience. I’ve found a number of leverage points and understand what moves the needle without needing to invest exorbitantly- though there are some very interesting possibilities if willing to spend in the upper ranges!

Please understand this isn’t a sales pitch. I have no affiliation with any audio businesses. Instead, consider this a token of gratitude from a long-time follower keen to make a small contribution to your audio journey.

If this piques your interest, please feel free to reach me at [Moderator: contact info removed from public forum but preserved in email intake field.]. If not, no worries at all—I’ll remain a loyal listener, and thank you for what you do.

All the best,
Mark

Wow. A lot to unpack. Great conversation! Re: Replika – I wouldn’t be at all surprised if the huge majority of users are men (99.9+%). Made by men for men. Sad men. Dehumanizing something inherently and only human – our relationships with one another – would lead to extremely problematic interactions for users in the real world. I could see there being an increase in physical and sexual violence against women and perpetuation of severe and pervasive mental health issues. It would be interesting to study the brain of one of these users after 1 year with a computer ‘girlfriend.’ How has their brain structure and neurochemistry changed?

The whole thing sounds so supremely dismal! Attempting to robotize our humanness is not a worthy endeavor.

On the other hand, if more men are spending days and nights having sex with their computers, it would free up some much needed space for women in executive roles.

So, I guess on that note, carry on with the compu-F’ING! 🙂
