The Random Show, Episode 21: Smart Drugs, Bitcoin, Apps, Fish Taint, and More

This Random Show episode was an experiment via Google Hangout. The show starts around 11:00 if you want to skip the preamble and dumb-assery.

Here are just two of many, many links mentioned in the show:

For someone who watched this after it was recorded, I found it really hard to understand some of the dialogue because of the sound quality limitations. I would imagine Hangouts are cool for the Q & A portion, but could you do a separate recording to put up after it is no longer live so that we can understand your slightly inebriated words?

Hey guys, I love the show but the sound was not good. It was like if you were inside a very small room.

English is not my first language and some parts were hard to understand because of the sound.

Thanks for keeping us updated.

I really loved this episode. The Google hangout format is an interesting experiment. Whatever gets more episodes out faster, I’m cool with it ๐Ÿ™‚

I love the random show but the video and audio quality of this episode is terrible. Please go back to filming how it was before. I missed so much information, it was lucky somebody summarised it in the comments.

Definitely an interesting read and concept. Iโ€™ve been looking into

various ways of cognitive enhancement and had come across nootropics for

the first time in 2012 when I first tried Piracetam, since then I have

created a nice โ€œnootropic stackโ€ to help assist in various memory and

thought training exercises. There is plenty of information regarding

nootropics and there is a downloadable PDF at http://www.smartdrugsforthought.com/piracetam-research/ that covers all of the Racetam nootropic chemical class.

I always love the shows, thanks for posting. Question – the link to forskolin jumps to Relora. Is this intentional, or would you recommend forskolin (if you took them…) If you recommended forskolin, what mg dose? Thanks!

Hey World,

Tim sent out a 5 bullet friday with an awesome tip that mentioned how L-Lysine (amino acid) can help to metabolize ethanol. I’ve found that it works incredibly!! Now before I drink any alcohol I take about 1 to 1.5 g of Lysine and I’m wondering how does it actually breakdown ethanol???? Does anyone know if this is a healthy alternative to hangovers??

Coyote

A card game by Tim Ferriss and Exploding Kittens

COYOTE is an addictive card game of hilarity, high-fives, and havoc! Learn it in minutes, and each game lasts around 10 minutes.

For ages 10 and up (though Iโ€™ve seen six-year olds play) and three or more players, think of it as group rock, paper, scissors with many surprise twists, including the ability to sabotage other players. Viral videos of COYOTE have been watched more than 250 million times, and itโ€™s just getting started.

Unleash your trickster spirit with a game that’s simple to learn, hard to master, and delightfully different every time you play. May the wit and wiles be with you!

Keep exploring.
