Hi, Just wondering if someone can help – I am looking for the podcast where a teacher asks her students to write their dream/goals. I listened to it long time back but cannot remember it. Would love to listen to it again. Thanks for your help.
You can try typing “transcripts” into the search field at the top of the blog, followed by the search term you’re looking for. So, say you wanted to look through all transcripts for “Viktor Frankl”; you would type in “transcripts” “viktor frankl” and hit enter.
You’ll see a number of results, many of which will be transcript links. Click on one, and then use your web browser search/find function to locate “viktor frankl” in the transcript page that loaded.
Are transcripts and “Show Notes” one in the same? Transcripts seems to be the term on the blog, can’t find “show notes” despite that terms routine use on the Podcast.
The transcripts are the typed copies of the recorded podcasts, which you’ll find above. The Show Notes are a kind of summary of the topics covered in each podcast and include timestamps so that you may find the different topics easily within the show’s recording. The Show Notes can always be found on the same page as each podcast. Once on the desired podcast page, simply scroll down far enough to find the heading “SHOW NOTES,” after which you’ll see the different topics covered. Show notes come after the media player but before the comments section.

hey tim, it is very nice of you to post them. your fictional character (the construct i have of you) is an inspiration for me. i think you should interview Wael Ghonim @Ghonim ( at twitter). he is an entrepreneur, engineer, googler, and the starter (or one of the starters) of the Egyptian revolution. it would be an inspiration about disruption, using social media for the common good, and who he magically convinced millions of Egyptians to finally disrupt.

Thanks for adding the transcripts! As an English teacher, I look for audio content for my students that has transcripts, so they can listen and use the transcripts to check what they don’t understand. This is a great learning resource for them to use to improve their English. It’s also great for you, as it’s an excellent way to help expand your audience to listeners who’s first language may not be English (like most of the people on the planet). Now that there are transcripts, I’ll be promoting your podcasts to English learner throughout the world!

Hi, I recently finished Tribe of Mentors and Tools of Titans. I can’t tell you much I enjoyed the books. I also enjoy and find useful and entertaining the ” 5 bullet Friday”. Though what I want to thank you for mostly is your encouragement to try -at the very least – the “5 Minute Journal”. I’ve never been a consistent, if at all, journal writer-or have simply just told myself that in order not to engage. However, whatever it was in your endorsement of that activity hooked me and while as hard as it is for me to believe-in just week I’ve seen some very interesting changes-bear in mind not drastic life changing ( yet) but internally noticeable. Also it is interesting how many things I seem to be more aware of. What has amazed more than anything else has been my adherence to my ” commitment” to write in the journal, again only a week, but I believe it will become a habit.
Thanks so much and keep up the great work.

Can someone help me out? There is an old episode I’m trying to find. The guest was a woman who was some kind of consultant at one point and she had a billionaire client who hired her to help him with some legacy planning stuff who kind of blew her off but she got him to take her seriously and really helped him make better plans for his legacy. If that sounds familiar I’d love to find the episode again. Thanks.

COYOTE is an addictive card game of hilarity, high-fives, and havoc! Learn it in minutes, and each game lasts around 10 minutes.
For ages 10 and up (though Iโve seen six-year olds play) and three or more players, think of it as group rock, paper, scissors with many surprise twists, including the ability to sabotage other players. Viral videos of COYOTE have been watched more than 250 million times, and itโs just getting started.
Unleash your trickster spirit with a game that’s simple to learn, hard to master, and delightfully different every time you play. May the wit and wiles be with you!

hey tim, it is very nice of you to post them. your fictional character (the construct i have of you) is an inspiration for me. i think you should interview Wael Ghonim @Ghonim ( at twitter). he is an entrepreneur, engineer, googler, and the starter (or one of the starters) of the Egyptian revolution. it would be an inspiration about disruption, using social media for the common good, and who he magically convinced millions of Egyptians to finally disrupt.
Aaah, so much better for me to read at my own pace than try to listen to someone else’s conversation. Thanks!
Thank you Tim. Appreciate the effort you took to do the transcripts. As a hearing impaired person podcasts are a pain when you are in a group and canโt join in the conversation with friends after. No more isolation! Now to speed read thru the transcripts…
Honestly so amazing and worth the wait! Thank you for being so gracious with your content. I consider it priceless.
Love your work Tim. If you are looking for a real time source for captioning or other services to help the program communicate better with fans who have hearing loss or other hearing struggles community please let me know. I am friends with the owner of a great communication, caption, text, etc company who works a bunch in the education field and with major corporations all over the states. I’ve never heard of a podcast helping this community so much and he’s an innovative guy, maybe you could pair up. Thanks. Joe
As I type this, I am taking a 24 hour break from thru-hiking the 2650 mile Pacific Crest Trail. I only have 350 miles to go! During this hike, I have listed to nearly every one of your episodes and I’m so grateful for these transcripts so I can go back to find particular passages that resonated with me, but wouldn’t be able to go back and listen through the hours and hours and hours of listening I have accumulated over the last few months. Thank you so much for the inspiration throughout my journey!
Thanks a lot, Tim! Your podcasts, which I listen to during commute every day, have really changed the way I look and attack my problems.
Iโm pretty sure you must have read the book, Relentless by Tim Grover. If not, I really think youโll like it. Also, I would like you to consider bringing Tim Grover on your podcast. Thatโll make a great conversation.
Hope you have a great weekend!
I agree! That book was great and he’d be an interesting interview subject.
Thank you ! This is invaluable.
Was just telling my sister about the amazing Doris Kearns Goodwin interview, but she’s not a podcast listener, yet. This is wonderful timing – sending the transcript to her now. Thank you!
Thank you, Tim. The main paradigm shift you initiated in social medias is not the concept behing your first book but the essential idea that great success comes from sharing widely. This is how I introduce you to people who do not yet know you: “Tim Ferriss is a giver”. With your podcast and later books you have been inviting decision-makers, role-models and experts to do the same. You certainly deserve all the success and love you are getting!
Thank you!
As someone with progressive hearing loss, itโs been a battle to listen to things. But I saved the emails as placeholders just in case I could find a quiet time and a good enough headset to comprehend them. I can now read them and that is so awesome! Thank you, sincerely.
wow! you are freakin’ awesome dude
Does anyone remember which episode it was where they discussed how to choose a tennis coach?
Maria Sharapova episode
Mammia mia!! Thank you so much!!
Thank you dude! It’s really amazing to amount of transcript made here! Thus, I can practice my English!

Thank you so much! This is what I have been eagerly waiting for…..
Thank you. I live with your podcasts everyday. You have enriched my life. I hope I can meet you someday. You have a special spot in my bookshelf.
This is awesome! Thanks a lot Tim and team
you rock, keep up with the amazing work!
Tim – thanks for everything that you do! Much appreciated!
I need some help with one item: how to download the 4-Hour Chef so that I can listen to it on my iPhone. Does anyone have any tips that can offer? I have the link that was sent to me when I subscribed to the newsletter, but I can’t figure out how to download it to my phone. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
I didn’t even know we had access to it. I will check that out. Thanks for posting the questsion!
I hope you are smarter than me when it comes to technology! ๐
If you are able to figure out home to get the 4-Hour Chef audiobook onto an iPhone, I would be thrilled to know how to do it.
Thanks for looking into that, Marta!
Hi Rodd: I did not receive any link; perhaps because I subscribed later. If you have it and you can send it let me know. Or post the link here?
You can find the original announcement at https://tim.blog/2013/09/10/free-4-hour-chef-audiobook-download/, where you can find the link to the download page.
Wow Tim! You’re simply amazing! Thank you, sincerely!
This must have been a headache to put together. But it is worth it because there are friends of mine whom I have been annoying for years to listen to your podcasts but they hate listening to podcasts and love reading.
So I’m pretty sure they will love these transcripts. They’ll finally get the opportunity to have their lives positively changed forever by this guy called Tim Ferriss whom I mention virtually in every conversation.
Solid Workv
Thank you very much Tim!!
What an incredible gift you’ve given us, Tim. The podcasts themselves to start with, but to go to the trouble (not to mention expense) of having them all transcribed is truly above and beyond. Thank you. Sincerely.
Thank you! I prefer reading than listening. I absorb and retain printed text far better than audio. I’ve caught myself writing down the words I have heard on your podcast.
Arigato gozaimasu Timothy San. So much gold in these transcripts. I love all that you do. Being able to go back through and pick up on some of the details that I can’t write down sometimes (when I am listening while I garden for instance!). Oishi des. lol
Can you please put the latest podcast at the top, so I do not have to scroll to the bottom every time?
George
Thank you so much Tim !!! Iโve been waiting for this ๐ xox
WOW!!! Thanks a lot Tim
What a gift! Thank you, Tim
I really appreciate how quickly you are getting the new episodes posted!
Thanks again for this amazing resource on your website. It makes the archive much more searchable and shareable.
Can you share what transcription software you prefer? Thanks!
Fabulous stuff Tim! Wow. Lots to listen and learn. Thanks for sharing ๐๐๐๐๐ค
Any chance for a search function? It’s so often I want to dig up something valuable in an old interview to share it with others, and I can remember roughly what I’m looking for but simply can’t find the right interview.
Tim You’re Santa Claus !! Tons of Pure Wisdom . Thanks You Very Much ! Mery Christmas
transcripts deeply appreciated. Thank you Tim.
Thanks for sharing
Tim, love many things about this podcast, and learned a lot, but I believe your opinion about fairness is shaped by your position of privilege.
Loved your new episode with Esther Perel. Awaiting the transcript.
fuck! you are the best, Tim! My English is shit and don’t understand the show by listening. But you provided transcripts and I can read the show and checking the dictionary if I don’t understand! Thank you Tim!!!
Dear Tim, I have listened to every one of your Podcasts. For many years the only podcast but now I have added Jordan Harbinger. You have kept me sane through an emotionally abusive marriage. When I couldn’t sleep for brain churn your talks were so interesting that my mind would be engaged. Additionally listening to reasonable, logical and sensible people has been affirming. Thank you so much for making the transcripts available they are truly an amazing resource. I have given Tools of Titans to my four children who appear to value the book. Tim you are quite an amazing young man. BTW it is so lovely hearing your thoughts on your relationship with your girlfriend. I felt so pleased that you had finally begun a long term relationship (a while ago now). Cheers Maggie
Thanks.
how do you create your transcripts? do you use software or completely human-produced?
Google my friend.
I was hoping for all the transcripts. Thanks Tim!
Hi Tim,
Huge fan and thanks for the great job. Just a suggestion: If the episodes and/transcripts could be listed with most recent on top.
Dear sir, thank you so much for your nice co-operatin,
